Particulate Hood Coverage Options

Majestic Fire Apparel, Inc. offers two HALO Particulate designs with a varying degree of particulate coverage.

HALO 360: HALO 360 hoods offer full particulate coverage. This hood has a particulate layer throughout the entire hood and blocks over 99% of particulates.

HALO SPZ: The HALO SPZ (Strategic Particulate Zone) protects high exposure areas of the head, neck, and upper jaw. In these areas, particulate blockage is over 99%.

Particulate Hood Fabric Options

When ordering your particulate fire hoods, you can choose from two fabric options for the outer material: Ultra C6 and Nomex Blend.

Ultra C6: This outer fabric comes in black. It has a heat blocking layer which delays the transmission of heat. It also helps to neutralize smoke odors on the skin following fireground exposures. The fibers in this material expand when exposed to flame, creating an oxygen starved surface. So, this material is self-extinguishing.

Nomex Blend: Particulate hoods have an outer layer are available in a variety of colors. This fabric offers superior breathability and a lightweight comfort layer to aid in the body cooling process.

Durable Particulate Fabric Inner Layer

Majestic Fire Apparel, Inc.’s particulate blocking hoods feature an MFA P-BL4.0 particulate fabric. This particulate blocking layer utilizes proven flame resistant fabrics. MFA P-BL4.0 fabric features an integrated breathable particulate system, moisture wicking, and temperature control. Plus, this particulate blocking fabric incurs virtually zero hearing interference.

Customizable Particulate Hoods

When you order from Majestic Fire, you can request the inclusion of custom logos, letters, and numbers on your particulate hood. Majestic Fire hoods also come in a variety of colors including white, black, emerald, grey, lime, maroon, navy blue, orange, pink, purple, red, tan, teal, and turquoise.

Available Configurations

HALO 360 Particulate Hood effectively blocks particulates throughout the entire hood (refer to blue shaded areas in picture), providing crucial protection from harmful substances.

A Variety of Firefighter Hoods To Fit Your Needs

Majestic Fire is pleased to offer a variety of NFPA 1971 hoods each with unique advantages. Fire hoods at Majestic Fire come in an array of material options Nomex blend, P84, Rayon Kevlar, 100% Nomex, PBI, Ultra C6, and PBI Gold. Explore some of our hood styles below.

Halo Particulate Hoods: These particulate hoods can block out over 99% of particulates in their particulate blocking zones. These fire hoods come in two fabric options Nomex blend and Ultra C6.

PAC IA: This is the most economical fire hood in our line-up. Majestic Fire has six different fabric options for this hood Ultra C6, Rayon Kevlar, PBI, P84, Nomex Blend, and 100% Nomex. This hood meets the NFPA minimum requirements.

PAC I: This fire hood offers added shoulder protection and comes in the same materials as the PAC IA.

PAC F-20: The PAC F-20 features a flared back design; it is available in the following fabrics Ultra C6,

P84, Nomex Blend, 100% Nomex.

PAC II: This is Majestic Fire’s most popular firefighting hood. It features a long-notched shoulder bib design.

PAC II-DS: Add a comfort panel head to our PAC II and you’ve got the PAC II-DS.

PAC II-3PLY: This instructor hood has a three-ply head and a two ply long notched shoulder bib design.

PAC III: If you’re looking for a firefighting hood with the most coverage, this is a great option.
