About Us
In the 1970s, Joe Albert, a resident of Yorkville, Ohio, recognized the need for a better solution for local fire departments to acquire high-quality fire equipment at more affordable prices than what was then available. Mr. Albert, who served as a volunteer fire chief and was a highly regarded fire instructor in the region, founded Albert Fire Equipment.
In 2000, Mr. Albert welcomed Glenn Trudo to his team. Mr. Trudo, a former career firefighter-paramedic, was serving as the coordinator for a local fire training program.
By 2002, Mr. Albert decided to transfer the company to Mr. Trudo by the end of that year. He approved the new name, Trudo Albert Fire Equipment, and began the process of transitioning the business and the companies they represented. Mr. Albert intended to stay on as a salesperson while Mr. Trudo took over the company’s daily operations. Tragically, within two months, Mr. Albert passed away unexpectedly.
With the name changed to Trudo Albert Fire Equipment L.L.C., we have continued Mr. Albert's vision of supplying quality fire equipment at competitive prices to fire departments. As we expand our offerings to customers, we do so with great pride in the legacy of our founder. We look forward to the opportunity to serve your department with top-notch equipment in the years to come.
