About Us

In the 1970's, Joe Albert, of Yorkville, Ohio, decided that there had to be a better way for area fire departments to obtain quality fire equipment at more affordable pricing than was currently available. Mr. Albert was a volunteer fire chief and a well respected fire instructor in the region, thus Albert Fire Equipment was born.

In 2000, Mr. Albert brought Glenn Trudo on board to his company. Mr. Trudo was a former career firefighter-paramedic, and was working as the coordinator for a local fire training program. Glenn is a volunteer firefighter-paramedic now, instructs fire and EMS training in the region, and works in emergency management.

In 2002, Mr. Albert had decided he would turn over the company to Mr. Trudo at the end of the year. Mr. Albert approved the new name of the company Trudo Albert Fire Equipment, and began working on transitioning the business and companies they represented. Mr. Albert was going to remain on as a salesperson while Mr. Trudo took over the company and the daily operations. Unfortunately, within two months, Mr. Albert passed away suddenly.

With the company name changed to Trudo Albert Fire Equipment L.L.C. we have continued Mr. Albert's vision of providing quality fire equipment at affordable pricing to departments. As we continue to offer more and more equipment to our customers, we do so with the pride of our founder. We look forward to the opportunity to provide your department with equipment for many years.
